GSC ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS FOR FOUR KEY MANAGEMENT POSITIONS
Oakland, CA – GSC Logistics, Inc., (GSC) has promoted Brandon Taylor, Ingrid McFarland, Jerome Musni and Francisco Gomez to key management roles at their Oakland, California Headquarters.
“We have revised our operations reporting structure and promoted four team members because of their proven track record at GSC. We have full confidence that they will help our continued growth by providing the best service in the business,” said Andy Garcia, chairman of the board for GSC. “They will help us deliver our promise to our customers: precise execution.”
Garcia continued, “We have promoted Brandon Taylor to director of transportation and he will be responsible for the overall transportation operations for GSC which includes management of the Logistics Analysts and Dispatchers. Mr. Taylor will report to our Vice President of Operations, Richard Norton.”
“Ingrid McFarland is now the logistics analyst manager and with the responsibility for the part of our operation which provides data to our dispatchers, warehouse and customer service representatives,” said Richard Norton, vice president of operations. “This includes driving the utilization of our transportation management systems and she will report to Brandon Taylor. Ms.McFarland has 16 years of experience in Logistics and joined GSC in 2007. Prior to joining GSC Ms. McFarland worked at the international brokerage firm, DCO.”
Norton continued, “Additionally, Jerome Musni has been promoted to logistics analyst supervisor. He joined GSC in 2014 as a logistics analyst and also worked as a dispatcher. Prior to GSC he was the Transportation Manager for Pitney Bowes and worked as a dockworker and package handler at UPS. His hands-on experience in our business makes him the perfect candidate for this supervisorial role.”
“Francisco Gomez has also been promoted to the position of logistics analyst supervisor,” said Norton. “He began his career with us in 2014 as a dispatcher. His first-hand knowledge will be invaluable for providing our dispatchers with the data they need to meet each of our customer’s specific requirements. Prior to joining GSC he was a dispatcher for California Multimodal, Inc. and Administration Assistant in Accounting for Melgar Trucking. He also has a background in banking. Both Musni and Gomez report to Ms. McFarland.”
