GSC Logistics was recognized for their strong support and partnership to Target Corporation in 2010.  Despite the unexpected surge in cargo directed to GSC Logistics during the 4th quarter of 2010, which exceeded 43% of original forecast and almost 50% more than GSC’s normal maximum capacity, GSC Logistics continued to process freight to meet target’s expectations and level of service.

GSC Logistics exemplified strong communication, collaboration, and determination while managing this year’s unique peak season.  GSC Logistics continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to provide outstanding service as evidenced by last year’s award at Transportation Service Provider of the Year for 2009.

GSC Logistics expands service to the Pacific Northwest

GSC Logistics, a third-party integrated logistics service provider based in Oakland, CA has acquired Seattle-based Best Way Trucking effective June 1, 2011.  This acquisition reflects GSC Logistics strategic plans for growth and commitment to expanding the company’s integrated logistics service offerings to better serve its customers.

The combination will allow us to deepen our capabilities to provide a broader range of services and greater value for our customers.  The benefits for our customers are:

Best Way Trucking is acquired by GSC Logistics – Expands to Northern California

Best Way Trucking, a Seattle-based drayage and logistics service provider is merging with GSC Logistics, a premier integrated third-party logistics company headquartered in Oakland, CA effective June 1, 2011.  This acquisition reflects GSC Logistics strategic plans for growth and commitment to expanding the company’s integrated logistics service offerings to better serve its customers.
